Life on Board
Life on
board is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and safe for everyone. A gulet
cruise is all about comfort, fun, and unforgettable moments at sea. To ensure a
smooth and pleasant experience for all guests, a few simple guidelines apply. These
are not rules to limit your enjoyment, but friendly reminders to help everyone
feel comfortable, safe, and at home throughout the cruise.
The safety
of our passengers, crew, and gulet is always our highest priority, and we
kindly ask all guests to familiarize themselves with the following information.
Safety Briefing & Equipment on Board
On the first day of your cruise, the crew will give a short safety briefing to help everyone feel comfortable and confident on board. This includes useful information about emergency procedures, fire safety equipment, and general onboard safety.
Life jackets are available for all guests and are kept in designated areas, while fire extinguishers and a fire blanket are located at specific points on the yacht for emergencies only. The crew will gladly show you the location of all safety equipment and explain its proper use, helping you feel at ease and fully enjoy your time at sea.
Keeping the Boat Tidy
Life on board means sharing an approximately 30-meter yacht for several days, so space is naturally limited. Beyond simple comfort, keeping the boat tidy is also a matter of basic safety. Beyond simple comfort, keeping the boat tidy is also a matter of basic
safety. Before setting off, all personal belongings should be properly stowed
and secured, both in cabins and in shared areas.
Loose items may move or fall while sailing, so we kindly ask everyone to help
keep the gulet clean and organized. During your cruise, the boat is your
home—and also someone’s cherished property—so please treat it with care and
respect.
No Shoes on Board
For safety,
comfort, and cleanliness, street shoes are not allowed on board. Going barefoot
is the rule and part of the classic Blue Cruise experience. Soft-soled deck
shoes may be worn on deck if needed, but not inside the yacht.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the yacht. It is allowed only on deck and only when conditions are safe. Please always use the provided ashtrays and never discard cigarette butts into the sea.
Children on Board
Children are warmly welcomed on board, subject to the suitability of the tour program. For their safety, they should always be supervised by a
responsible adult, especially while the yacht is underway or at anchor. Life
jackets suitable for children are available—please inform the crew if needed.
We kindly ask parents to ensure that children follow onboard safety guidelines
at all times.
Toilets on Board
A boat toilet is very complex & sensitive machinery that gets very easily blocked. Therefore please do not put any toilet paper or sanitary products down the toilets on board. Use the rubbish bin in the bathroom. Air displaced from the tank when the waste drops may cause a smell. Please operate the pump long enough to ensure that waste is flushed all the way out of the hose to the holding tank. Waste standing in the hose is a source of unpleasant odors.
Water
Fresh water
on board is limited. We kindly ask guests to use water responsibly—please do
not leave the tap running while brushing your teeth and try to keep showers
short. Thoughtful water use helps ensure everyone’s comfort throughout the
cruise.
Electricity & Air Conditioning
Electricity, like water, is a shared resource. Please avoid unnecessary use of electricity and do not leave lights on when not needed.
All of our yachts are equipped with air conditioning, which is generally available for 6–8 hours per day. The crew will be happy to assist you with the daily schedule and any usage guidelines.
Waste & Environmental Awareness
We are proud
to cruise in the beautiful Mediterranean and are committed to protecting it.
Please help us keep the sea clean by using waste bins provided on board and
avoiding plastic waste whenever possible. Nothing should ever be thrown
overboard. Together, we can help preserve this environment for future
generations.
Respect for Fellow Passengers, Crew, and Other Water Users
Life on
board is a shared experience. Courtesy and mutual respect are essential for a
pleasant atmosphere.
We also share the Mediterranean with other boaters, fishermen, swimmers,
surfers, and water sports enthusiasts. Please respect everyone’s right to
safety, comfort, and enjoyment of the sea.
Seasickness
If you feel
seasick, staying on deck and focusing on the horizon usually helps. Guests who
are prone to seasickness are advised to take appropriate medication well before
departure. Please inform the crew if you feel unwell—they are always happy to
help.
Fun & Entertainment
A Blue
Cruise is meant to be enjoyed at your own pace. Swimming, sunbathing, reading,
music, games, and simply relaxing are all part of life on board. As long as
basic onboard guidelines are respected, you can be sure of a smooth,
comfortable, and memorable holiday.
So relax,
enjoy the sea, and make the most of every moment.
Have a
wonderful cruise!
